Ceillac Mountain
Pic d'Assan (2609m)

The mountain of Assan, with its peak of the same name, separates the Cristillan valley from the Queyras combe.
Access to the highest point, Pic d'Assan or Pic de Guillestre, is reserved for experienced hikers.
La Pointe de la Saume (3043 m)
The crête de la Saume with its highest points, la Mamelle (2995 m) and la pointe de la Saume (3043 m), is separated from the crête de la Font Sancte by the Pas du Curé (2783 m).
Access is also reserved for experienced hikers.

La Font Sancte (3385 m)

The dolomitic peaks of the Font Sancte ridge on the border with the Alpes de Haute Provence, at 3371 m and 3385 m respectively, are the highest points in the Queyras.
They owe their name to a spring, the Font Sancte, which gushes out at 2360 m in the Rif Bel valley.
The Font Sancte mountain is a major landmark from the Arvieux valley.
La Crête des Chambrettes (2580 m)
Near the Col Fromage, on the Chambrettes ridge, an "OPTICAL POST" was built in the 19th century for rapid transmission of messages from the south of France to Paris.
Such posts, installed at Clot la Cime in Arvieux above the Col d'Izoard or at Château-Ville-Vieille above the Col de la Crèche, have now all but disappeared.
With the invention of the telephone, they have outlived their usefulness.

Pointe de la Selle (2745 m)

"Les Mamelles" is the name often given to Pointe de la Selle, the mountain overlooking Col Fromage (2301 m) in Ceillac.
The view from the GR 58 (Tour du Queyras) coming from Château Queyras is breathtaking.
Le Péouvou (3232 m)
The Péouvou, between the Col de Clausis and Col des Ugousses, is a limestone mountain that dominates the Ubaye at its highest point.
At its foot, the glossy schist gives a gentler relief (Col de Clausis and Lac de Clausis).
Access from Ceillac is via the Cristillan valley.
