In Saint Veran, in the Parc Naturel Régional du Queyras, charming village, highest commune in Europe, 110 m2 apartment in Chalet Rochebrune itself fully renovated in 2019-2020, 2 bedrooms, on second floor, but independent entrance and ground floor, mountain views not overlooked, south-west facing, 1.3 km from downhill ski slopes, and 200 m from cross-country ski slopes, altitude 1910 m.
The chalet was refurbished in 2020: very well insulated, well-heated and comfortable.
No buildings here, but traditional chalets and houses, unspoilt mountains. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ski touring also possible. In a house with a convivial spirit, and whose owners are sensitive to the protection and respect of nature, a large room of 75 m2. One large bedroom overlooks the mountain through three panoramic windows. The other bedroom overlooks the garden. A 2500 m2 garden. The apartment has a private, ground-level entrance at the rear of the house.
A 5-minute drive will take you to the start of the Molines-Saint-Véran ski resort, on the Molines side, with ample parking. If your children are taking ski lessons, it's best to book them in Molines. A free shuttle bus passes in front of the chalet during the winter school vacations, but there are very few trips.
And if skiing doesn't tempt you, Saint-Véran is also a great place to simply relax and/or walk and enjoy nature and the landscape. Groomed itineraries open to pedestrians.

Bed linen can be hired from the laundry.
Efficient wood-burning stove for cool summer evenings, or outside heating period only. Wood supplied.
