
The statutes of the Association Queyrassine des Loueurs de Meublés
Title 1 Aims and composition
Article 1 An association governed by the law of July 1, 1901 and the decree of August 16, 0901 is hereby founded between the members of the present articles of association. Its title is Association Queyrassine des Loueurs de Meublés and its purpose is to bring together any individual or legal entity owning or managing on behalf of others furnished accommodation for tourism purposes in the communes of Abriès, Aiguilles, Arvieux, Ceillac, Château Ville Vieille, Molines en Queyras, Ristolas and Saint Véran.
Article 2 The purpose of the association is to study and implement all measures likely to increase the tourist occupation of furnished accommodation in the Queyras and to represent the interests of furnished accommodation owners in dealings with local, community and departmental authorities.
Article 3 The association's head office is located at the Arvieux Tourist Office, 05350 Arvieux. It may be transferred by simple decision of the Board of Directors ratified by the General Meeting.
Article 4 The duration of the association is unlimited.
Article 5 Membership of the association is acquired by application to the Board, which decides on applications, and payment of a membership fee set by the General Meeting.
Membership is lost through resignation, death or striking off by the Board of Directors.
Title 2 Administration and operation
Article 6 The General Meeting comprises all the members designated in Article 5.
Article 7 The Annual General Meeting meets at least once a year, convened by the Chairman or at the written request of one-third of its members.
It sets the association's objectives and defines its strategy.
It hears the Chairman's report, elects the members of the Board of Directors, considers all matters on the agenda, approves the accounts for the past year, draws up the budget for the coming year and sets membership fees.
Article 8 Invitations to General Meetings are sent out 15 days in advance by individual letter or by insertion in the press.
Article 9 All paid-up members are entitled to vote. Voting by proxy is permitted, but each member of the General Meeting may not hold more than two proxies.
Article 10 The association is managed by a Board of 8 to 16 members elected for three years by the General Meeting and renewable annually by thirds, the first two years outgoing members being drawn by lot. Board members are eligible for re-election.
Article 11 The Board of Directors meets at least once every six months, convened by the Chairman or at the request of one-third of its members.
Article 12 The Board of Directors, comprising at least half of its present members, elects from among its members, for a period of three years and within one month of the Annual General Meeting, an Executive Committee comprising a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, a Treasurer and a Secretary.
Article 13 The Board of Directors takes its decisions by a majority of its members present or represented.
Board members may not receive any remuneration for the duties entrusted to them. Only justified expenses may be reimbursed.
Article 14 On the proposal of the Board of Directors, the General Meeting may decide to create local sections of the association, bringing together members from one or more communes.
Article 15 The Chairman represents the association in all civil acts.
Article 16 The association's resources consist of:
membership fees
subsidies from the State, the Region, the Département, the Communauté de Communes and the communes
resources of any kind decided by the Board of Directors
Article 17 The articles of association may be amended at the proposal of the Board of Directors or at the request of at least one tenth of the association's members. The modification is carried by a vote of the Annual General Meeting made up of at least a quarter of the members present or represented.
Article 18 The General Meeting called to decide on the dissolution of the association must include half of its members present or represented.
Article 19 In the event of dissolution, the General Meeting shall allocate the net assets to one or more tourism associations of community interest in the Queyras region.
